Dr. Lori Stearns
Dr. Lori Stearns is a 1989 Honor graduate from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two wonderful adult children. She has practiced at many hospitals in the Atlanta area and fulfilled a professional dream when she opened Cat Care of Fayette in 2003. She was honored by her clients as voting her one of Atlanta Magazine's 2011 Top 100 Veterinarians. She has also been quoted in Cat Fancy Magazine, and was chosen to participate in the interview due to her expertise in cat medicine.
Dr. Stearns is thorough and highly-detailed, making her an exceptional examiner and diagnostician. She is passionate about the well-being of her feline friends, and especially enjoys the medicine associated with the elderly kitty. Dr. Stearns is entirely devoted to finding the best results for her patients, going beyond customary remedies and beliefs. She is also a skilled surgeon, and shines when confronted with difficult cases.
In addition Dr. Stearns is committed to giving back to the community, and is an avid participant in both local and international rescue organizations. Her ultimate dream would be to better manage the overpopulation of feral cat colonies.
Dr. Cathy Bivins
Dr. Bivins is originally from southeast Georgia. She was raised in a military family and
lived throughout the southeast United States during her childhood. She graduated in
1980 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia in
Augusta, Georgia. She then practiced nursing for nine years before moving to
Tuskegee, Alabama to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She
attended Tuskegee University and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1992.
Dr. Bivins specializes in soft tissue surgery. She is very fast paced, thorough and
efficient. She loves meeting new people and educating them about the importance of
preventative care. She enjoys educating clients about cardiology and ensuring all pets
have a healthy and happy life. She has a passion for internal medicine and excels when she is faced with complex cases.
Dr. Bivins lives in Coweta County with her three children, three cats and three dogs.
She enjoys spending time on her farm in South Georgia and also enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
